This is a crochet project that I've been wanting to try doing. I thought the pattern was easy enough to downsize, so I tried it yesterday. Obviously I need to go out and get some yarn. The differing colors were only semi-deliberate. I didn't have enough of one color to make a pair, hence... The pattern needs some tweaking too since I just improvised as I went along, going by how they fitted Marguerite's feet. Also, this was also rather sloppily done since I thought I was essentially just seeing if it would work. Anyway, Marguerite loves the slippers and since they're so easy and quick to do, I'll probably make several for her. No decent pic though as my model was not very cooperative.

those are lovely!!! My mother used to crochet when she was younger and healthier. She crocheted from curtains to table cloths to my blouses and dresses.
Thanks, Grace. My mom crochets too, but I didn't get interested in the craft until I became a mom myself. :)
oh wow.. that is really lovely.. care to publish the pattern.. hehe.. would love to try myself :)
i do crochet too, but i have lazy butt :P thats so cute!!
I want one for myself! :)
@LadyJava: Thanks.:) The original pattern is from a magazine, but I found a very similar pattern here:

If the slippers are for you, then that pattern would do very well. I had to reduce measurements for my daughter.
@Silvergirl: Thanks. I'm pretty lazy too, but crocheting is one of the things I do when I'm feeling lazy - I mean, crocheting instead of cleaning the house or doing something more imperative, lol
@Anonymous: If you crochet, then you can easily make a pair for yourself - see the link I gave LadyJava. If you don't crochet, I'm sure you'll find some on Etsy. :)
Very clever! I like the mirrored colors.

@Sharkbytes: Thanks. I ran out of that particular shade of red, hence the mirrored look, lol
@Eva: Thanks :)
These are so cute....
Thanks, Bingkee :)
Those are really cute, your daughter for sure love to wear that. I wish to learn crochets too, so I can make clothes for my dog.
Thanks, Erica :) It's really pretty easy. I'm sure you can find basic crochet instructions online. I learned how to knit that way. :)
I can barely sew a button on a shirt, let alone crochet. That takes a special talent.
Hi, Dave. I was going to say that men rarely crochet, but I remembered my sister's home ec class where the girls slacked and produced small, obscure doilies while the boys came up with elaborate projects and were chewed out for crocheting even in other classes, lol. I guess the interest has to be there. :)
This slippers are so cute. I like the colour change. It looks like you intended to do that even though you said you didn't have enough yarn.
Thanks, Mom3. I'm glad the colors worked out even though they weren't intentional. :)
Great.. thanks for the link :)
Much appreciated!
You're welcome, LadyJava :)
