Starting to Fret about M's Birthday

Marguerite is turning 4 in September and for some time now I've been racking my brains trying to come up with a really special celebration. For her first birthday, we had a biggish party (big in my book, but I'm not into parties at all). For her second, we had an intimate one with just family. For her third, Husband and I took her to Manila Ocean Park and had dinner on the harbor. We also had a joint birthday treat of sorts (Husband's birthday was earlier that month) in our Bacolod trip. We were supposed to throw a mini party in her Sunday School class, but that was the weekend that wretched Ondoy/Ketsana wreaked havoc in our area. Actually, that's the thing about Marguerite's birthday; it unfortunately falls on the craziest monsoon month. If the weather were kinder, I'd probably throw her a luau. It's perfect. She has a couple of hula outfits and loves to dance the hula (one of the many dance lessons she'll probably take). It would be neat to send out pretty little luau invitations. Luaus are generally fun besides. But well, in our case I don't think it's practical to risk it when typhoons are always just hanging around the corner. If it's not Marguerite's birthday, I guess we'll just have to find another excuse because, man, a luau is really just what the doctor has ordered around here, lol.

Now she can't possibly be turning FOUR?!! Wasn't she born just a few months ago? Time sure goes by fast!! yikes! Well I hope she has a wonderful birthday!!

Luau does sound like fun! (me and my dad were always joking about wanting one, because of an old ALF episode where Alf wants to have a luau...we never did get around to actually having one (they aren't really done over here)).

Hi, Annika. I know! I remember announcing the pregnancy over at Michael Maguire's (I'm deliberately making it sound as though we were all over at his house, hanging out instead of discussing Les Miz in the egroup, lol) and now she's not even a baby anymore...

It does, doesn't it? It's not really that common here either (which, knowing me, makes it "acceptable", lol). We watched a lot of ALF too. Over here, it came right before Perfect Strangers. :)

Cool!
Oh yeah...that does seem like a lifetime ago, but at the same time like yesterday! We had some good times at his house..(eh..in the group....LOL)...

I'm sure it will be great party no matter what you come up with! It scary how fast little kids grow!

Thanks, Annika. Interesting times over at Michael's. Remember the fights? lol
